Prof. Richa Kumar wins outstanding social scientists award

Richa Kumar of our Department has won The Malcolm and Elizabeth Adiseshiah Trust’s national award for outstanding social scientists below the age of 45 years. Congratulations Prof. Richa Kumar!

The Malcolm and Elizabeth Adiseshiah Trust has instituted the award this year for recognised contributions to Development Studies by a scholar in India under the age of 45 years. Prof. Kumar is the first recipient of the inaugural Elizabeth Adiseshiah Memorial Award 2019. The award carries a citation and a cash prize of rupees one lakh.

IIT Delhi HUSS PhD (Dec 2019) Applicants Selected For Interviews

Candidates who have been shortlisted are to report for the interview at the time allotted to the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Delhi (Room MS611, 5th Floor, MS Building). They are required to bring all relevant documents along with self-attested photocopies of their marksheets, certificates and NET/JRF certificates. All candidates MUST submit copies of their certificates to the interview board.

Prof. Kamlesh Singh wins Rajbhasha Gaurav Award

Prof. Kamlesh Singh recently published a book in Hindi and it has been awarded with “Rajbhasha Gaurav Award". The award is for original book writing in Hindi on ‘Gyan-Vigyan’ for the Citizens of India”. Book Title: "Bhartiya Sandharbh me Vyavahrik Skaratmak Manovigyan_” (2018) ( The book is mainly focused on - Applied Positive Psychology in Indian Setting)
